  • Why do they matter?

    Once implemented, the energy infrastructure network will support essential services, critical facilities, and strategic assets, such as hospitals, ports, and military installations. Projects will:

    • Keep critical systems, such as water and electrical infrastructure, operational
    • Energy storage to support transmission when the main grid is unavailable or strained during peak demand
    • Support continuity during natural disasters, power outages, and peak demand periods
  • How do they work?

    Resilience projects deliver reliable and secure power when it's needed the most – the network does this through three main functions:

    • Large or small-scale power generation located on site or near the facility
    • Energy storage to support transmission when the main grid is unavailable
    • Advanced control center technologies that manage the flow of energy to critical facilities and the main grid
