Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships (GRIP) Program

The GRIP Program, administered by the DOE's Grid Deployment Office, aims to enhance grid flexibility and improve the resilience of the power system against extreme weather and other disruptions. The program includes three funding mechanisms: Grid Resilience Utility and Industry Grants, Smart Grid Grants, and the Grid Innovation Program.

Grid Innovation Program

A component of GRIP, this program provides $5 billion from FY22 to FY26 to support projects that use innovative approaches to transmission, storage, and distribution infrastructure to enhance grid resilience and reliability.

Grid Resilience Technical Assistance Consortium

An initiative by the Grid Deployment Office to provide technical assistance for grid resilience planning, focusing on analyzing regional climate change threats and impacts on electric grid infrastructure.
